Dreams’ Neurophysiology: Integration of Neuroscience Concepts and Psychoanalysis

Objectives: Evaluate the available informations about dreams, analyzing hypotheses of neuroscience and psychoanalysis. It is proposed to show discoveries dreams’ neurobiology as well how psychology can explain this phenomenon, in order observe an integration between these perspectives.
 
 Methods: For literature review studies were selected (databases - MEDLINE, PUBMED, SCIENCE DIRECT, SciELO LILACS -, websites Scientific Journals) on psychoanalysis with approaches neurobiological processes dreams meanings.
 Main Findings: On theme, described besides origins functions them. Psychoanalytic theories are referred for demonstrate influence under emotions vice versa.
 Research Implications: There a connection from psychoanalysis, which propelling new researches. Psychotherapy shows empirical results have inspired guided neuroscientific investigations. that discuss relationship those essential obtain better understanding complexity surrounds meaning at psychosocial neurophysiological fields. Within proposal, present paper expands interrelationships concepts repertory dreams.
